Dead or Decaying?

Morning all! Nothing like starting the day with a strong cup of java and a stomach churning inquisition. How do you prefer your dead?
Cold or Decaying?
Blood-sucking or brain-eating?
Arrogant or Imbecile?

Which brings us to the revolting question of which romantic partner would you prefer:

Vampire vs. Zombie

Now I admit, I have a lot more experience with the fanged dead and that probably contributes to my extreme bias in their favor (puss is NOT hot) BUT I wanna hear your views! Who's hot to trot for rot?! (Sorry, couldn't help myself with that gruesome rhyme.)

Let's get some examples out there! Every one has a vampire in the closet. Who's hiding those sexy zombies?! Somebody give me a clue!!!!!

(Tomorrow we will delve into interspecies dating. Stay tuned...)

Hmmm. Well, I'd have to take a vamp. I think they smell better and don't leave such a mess in their wake.

Sean Kennedy has the cute "I Fell in Love with a Zombie" and I know KZ Snow as "Abercrombie Zombie" coming out and on Ally Blue's website she has a free short story about too zombies which is totally gross and sweet at the same time. :-)

But yea, for me? Fanged boys please.

Vampires over zombies any day!! But I am intrigued by KZ's forthcoming Ambercrombie Zombie - possibly because the zombie doesn't seem to be or have a love interest. :)

Tam - This is just what I was hoping for... some puss-filled love stories to share! ;)

Chris - Sans love = urban fantasy?

Nope, the zombie plays matchmaker for two non-zombies. :)

Chris - A fun way to integrate the zombie... sounds like he must have SOME brains if he can matchmake.

I loved Sean Kennedy's "I fell in Love With a Zombie" but I don't think I have read any other books with Zombies in romantic leading roles. J.L Merrow has a book about a ghoul that I have been thinking about reading but I am guessing that ghoul would be a different creature.

Even though I dont like the cold I would pick Vampire over Zombie. I mean things tend to fall off Zombies, don't they? I can think of some very important things falling off, and I am pretty that would kill that would kill the romantic mood

Amanda - Looks like I need to pick up Sean's Book!

I seem to remember a ghoul in the Bones series...

EWWW! Now you've got my mind reeling on just how bad that untimely rotting would be!

Oh I'd hands down take the vamp. I need no body parts falling off while my man moves around. lol.

Would you be required to clean up after him if they did? Or would it be "your own body parts, your own problem!" ?

My Life as a White Trash Zombie by Diana Rowland has a zombie lead character, but the romance is a very small part of the story.

I must confess I prefer my zombies decaying, hungry for human flesh and as the bad guys.

Sullivan- I think you're right on that account... gross and disgusting just naturally equals bad guy!
