About Me featuring Colleen Gleason

FROM MK: I first discovered Colleen last year when I was casting around for something new to read, and I picked up her first book, The Rest Falls Away. It kicks off an amazing historical vampire series which features a kick ass heroine and the two deeply delicious men who are in her life. If that's not enough to get you to read, it's worth it just to find out where Victoria, her heroine, hides her stake. Colleen is one of my favorite authors, but beyond that, just a genuinely cool chick, which of course, means she'll fit in perfectly here! Please welcome Colleen Gleason!

Favorite Reading Position
in the bath tub or at a restaurant

Best love song
Lover, You Should Have Come Over (Jeff Buckley)

Favorite Heroine
other than Victoria Gardella? Vicky Bliss. (Another Victoria. Huh.)

Author everyone loves but you don’t
Ooh. That could get me into trouble. How about....Dan Brown or Stephen King

If you could be in one book/series/world which would you pick
All the ones I'm thinking of are too dangerous! Hee.

How old is your inside voice
A healthy, confident forty.

Favorite sex song
Are You Going With Me? (The Pat Metheny Group)
or
Everybody Here Wants You (Jeff Buckley)

If you could be a hero who would you be
Roarke.

What heroine is most like you
The one I'm currently writing. Her name is Jade. She's smart and quick, but she throws like a girl.

What heroine would you like to be
Vicky Bliss.

Boxers, Briefs, boxer briefs, kilt (I say we add commando)
Heh. I like boxer-briefs. Very much, thank you.

Favorite book set on a tropical island
Um...I can't think of one. Oh, wait...an old one by Celeste de Blasis.... Suffer a Sea Change .

What hero is most like your significant other
My husband is a combination of Max Pesaro and Sebastian Vioget. Max because he's very alpha-ish and speaks very plainly, and Sebastian because he's always trying to charm his way into...well, me. Into bed. So to speak.

What hero would you like to be your significant other
Roarke.

If you were stuck on a desert island what 3 things would you bring
My laptop and a solar battery charger.
My husband.
Chocolate.

(Am I a bad mom that I didn't say my three kids? They'd be bored stiff. Still, I'd like to have them with me too.)

Favorite drink to bring to the DIK party
Mango Mojito.

woot! welcome to crazy! i mean, the island. *cough*

jeff buckley...sigh. The man had a VOICE!

btw, I hate to report that based on my extensive tests during my Peace Corps stint in Africa, i can confirm that solar battery chargers are a complete waste of time. *sob* Despite hours of glaring shiny sunlight, i could never get even a baby charge into my batteries.

mojitos!!!

Hello! Great answers. And great article in RWR this month! I just picked up the first Guardella book and I can't wait to read it.
We missed you in San Fran! Hopefully next year in DC...

Hi Colleen! Welcome to THE Island! We're glad you're here!

I've always wondered how people did the whole bathtub reading thing. I guess I'm not that coordinated! lol

And I didn't bring my kids either! Hey, come on...this is fantasy here! :)

Hey Ciara....thanks for coming by. Wish I'd been in SF too, believe me. Next year in DC, though for sure.

Christine...yeah, my husband's a nice mixture of the two. (Of course, Max would never leave his dishes in the sink, and Sebastian would always put the cap on the toothpaste, dontchaknow....)

Hi Sarai and Tracy!

Tracy, the bathtub thing...I've been reading in one for as long as I can remember. But I would never take an ebook reader in. I'm not that good at it!

Sebastian... drool...
If he were living in the her and now would he be a boxer, briefs or commando type of guy?

Anonymous said...

Sebastian? He'd probably go commando...and whisper it in your ear.

Heh.

Hi, Colleen! :) And I think Max'd probably wear boxer briefs, but look smokin' hot in them. Yum. Can you tell I'm a Max girl? LOL!

Thanks again for being over on my blog. The winner was very happy. :D
