Bookworm Day 3: Favorite Heroes in Books/Gerard

Hello everyone. For my final day here posting at the DIK blog, I've decided to really add as much Gerard Butler eye candy as I possibly can fit into one post. He makes a great leading man, is drop dead gorgeous, he's got a sexy accent and is irresistable. All heroes could take a hint from Gerard :)

So, without further ado, here's my Favorite Heroes in Books. (in no particular order, since they all rock)

1. Edward Cullen from Stephenie Meyer's Twilight: He's a vampire, he's beautiful, rich and has an attitude. Plus he drives a fast car. You gotta love Edward.

2. Rhett Butler from Margaret Mitchell's Gone With the Wind: I've said it before and I'll say it again, Rhett is a great hero. He's rich, classy, handsome and has a way with the ladies. He's kind of a bad ass, drinks whiskey and smokes cigars. And he says one of the best lines ever 'Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn.'

3. Maddox from Gena Showalter's The Darkest Night: Maddox makes a great hero. He is strong, tormented and well...hot. And he's all Alpha-Male.

4. Strider a.k.a. Aragorn from J.R.R. Tolkiens Lord of the Rings: Strider is a warrior, he's loyal, strong and brave. And he becomes the King, what more could ya want??

5. Darcy from Jane Austen's Pride & Prejudice: Oh Darcy, why are you so perfect? He's rich and handsome. He's the tall, silent type. And he says things like: 'If you will thank me,'' he replied, ``let it be for yourself alone. That the wish of giving happiness to you might add force to the other inducements which led me on, I shall not attempt to deny. But your family owe me nothing. Much as I respect them, I believe I thought only of you.'

6. Captain Frederick Wentworth from Jane Austen's Persuasion: Jane Austen wrote heroes like nobody's business. Wentworth is a perfect hero, after all those years apart from Anne, his love for her still endured. The love letter he wrote to Anne gave me chills. And the one line in it is one of my all time favorites: 'You pierce my soul.'
*sigh*

Well, I hope you enjoyed my favorite Heroes/Gerard post. Who are your favorites?

Rhett Butler is a great choice, as are your photos of Gerry. I was hoping to see the one of him wearing a pink jumper and a leather kilt. Hot!
