I would love to visit for the experience. However, I honesty don't think I could handle not having modern bathroom/shower facilities for longer than a day or two. I am shuttering just thinking about it. I'll stick with my lovely books.

I do not think I would make it, I need painkillers and female hygiene products
ChrisS - If you're rich enough, you have servants to carry hot water but nothing can replace a flushing toilet. *eww*
Blodeuedd - I think I could resort to alcohol as a pain killer, but as for the other - you're SO right.
I would to give it a try, I think I could live without the techy gadgets but not sure if I could live without a bathroom.

BLH - It's kinda peaceful when I forget to charge my cell phone... after I get over the mild panic attack. :)
I don't think so, I'm way to addicted to my iPhone. But it would definitively be an experience.

Mariee - It would be a WORLD of difference. :D But maybe better for the brain?
Chelsea - I like that idea. Anyone got a time machine?
Cait - That seems to be the general consensus. Latrines are just not romantic!
